# I just got this plant and noticed the leaf was struggling and against…

I just got this plant and noticed the leaf was struggling and against my better judgement tried to assist it and broke it 😭.

What do I do now to help make sure it continues to grow since that was a new leaf and I’m not sure the node was developed?

😭 This happens to me all the time. I’m an avid philodendron collector and a couple types are prone to this. I kick myself every time but then I’m back in a few weeks “helping” again! Silly me

Mine always keep growing after. Usually it grows from the same spot, but if the node was damaged it’ll just grow from the next one down the stem

Thanks! I kinda panicked I killed the main stem by breaking the node 😅
