I also find that the best way to know when to water them is when the tips turn skinny. It’s definitely easy to over water them so they thrive best from “neglect”. I also use a grow light but they should be fine near a window. Hope this info helps. Don't get water in between the leaves (and dry it if you splash). Good luck planting.. It doesn't need much. I believe if it starts to turn brown, that means it has to much sunlight. #### GarishOnion svarede den 2026-01-08 Yes, too much direct sunlight. It's getting sunburned. I wouldn't cut the brown parts off. If you move it out of the sun it will eventually outgrow the brown leaves. It's very pretty, regardless! ### Donna kommenterede den 2026-01-02 I've seperated my aloe vera 3 times as it's had so many offshoots. I let it dry out for a while, never too wet.
