# Soo I just got this plant today and I have no experience with plants.…

Soo I just got this plant today and I have no experience with plants. When I was setting up this app it told me to make sure that the pot where my plant is has holes in the bottom for water stuff but I didn’t understand. Does it matter if it has holes on the bottom?

yes unless you know EXACTLY how much water your plant needs. for watering you need to let the water drain out of the bottom and soak and for bottom watering too

It prevents root rot and over watering with drainage holes

Hi Julia, that’s not going to work…you’re going to end up with root rot. Use that as a decorative pot. Repot in a nursery pot with drainage, then set it in the pink pot to look pretty. You can take it out and bottom water or water from the top and let it drain completely before putting it back in the pink pot. Hope that helps 🌱

You have to replant it in another pot with holes but that pot is very small that will grow
