# Hi! My partner is having me trim fiddly and I’ve never propagated…

Hi! My partner is having me trim fiddly and I’ve never propagated fiddle leaf trimmings before. I’m wondering if I could propagate the whole section I want to cut (ie if there are like 10 leaves and I remove multiple leaves from the bottom and put into water or soil) or if I should cut the large section into segments (one or two leaves per cutting with 2-3 bottom leaves removed from each segment)? Thanks so much!

I have successfully propagated top cuttings only, I leave two or three leaves… by placing in my fish aquarium. I tried a middle cutting before and it didn’t work out. Not saying that other people wouldn’t be successful, but I was not.
