I just got this ponytail Pom yesterday and I’ve noticed that it’s leaning to the side and I’m not sure if I should repot it or not and if I move it it looks like it would fall out

looks like you should definitely repot it — that pot looks way too small. the lean can probably be fixed if you plant it a little deeper and if you need to you can top the soil with some gravel to hold it up.

It might be leaning toward the light

I recommend waiting 2 weeks at least before repotting. Plants stress out while adjusting to a new environment. My ponytail palm is about 7 feet tall. It started out about the same size as yours.

You can repot it to straighten it. Go only one pot size bigger. Do not plant it deeper or add stones to the topsoil. Stones block water evaporation from the soil and leads to root rot.

Put it in full sun after acclimating it to brighter light. Palms like all day sunshine. Water when it dries. The roots of palms forms a thick basket. The roots will eventually grow above the soil. It won’t hurt the plant.

Fertilize once a month in warmer months. 🍀🪴

It’s been in this 18 inch wide plastic pot since 2013.
