I just bought a new fiddle leaf fig from Costco which is a big chain store. I know they are really picky so when is the best time to repot him? He needs better soil and I want to make sure there are no bugs. But I also don’t want to freak him out and kill him. Any have insights?

I do t know if this is helpful or the right thing to do, but when I buy a new plant, I leave alone for about a week to give it time to adjust, then I repot to change its soil. That has been working for me so far.
