I like to cut off the tops and propagate them. This started as a single stalk a few years ago. It’s been happy in this shallow pot, so I’d recommend going wider rather than deeper, especially if you put your propagations into the same pot like I have here

You inspired me to cut mine and start a forest. Sorry for glare, it is in a dry aquarium with other succulents and cacti.

I think this is a different plant than I showed. Please correct me if I’m mistaken, but I think this is graptapetalum “ghosty”. The same concept should work though!

Fun story, this plant made up most of my wife’s bouquet from our wedding. So to preserve it, I’ve cloned hundreds of this plant over the years! 😊

When I got her it said California Sunset.

When pruning get a clean sharp shears to prune the stems but it’s best to do it in the summer or spring.Repotting is a bit different but you have to do it every few yrs or when the plant out grows the pot.So I wouldn’t repot it if I had one of those reasons.

Not 100% but It looks like an elephant bush plant to me!!
