I just set up 2 raised flower beds and this year I did it different. I did the German way I think it’s called. I layered cardboard, sticks, a few green plants, compost and the potting soil. My vegetables don’t seem like they are growing as fast and there is ALOT of wood chips (mulch) in my soil. Can any advise me on what I should do?
Thanks for your help
EDIT: I also had a dead tree that I had the stump shredded and used some of that to layer my raised bed.

I watched a lot of Epic Gardening on YouTube and they helped a lot and are super knowledgeable.
