# I’m still a plant newbie although I fully got into doing houseplants…

I’m still a plant newbie although I fully got into doing houseplants for past 2 years. I went and purchased a peacock catahlea last year (the first photo) and it thrived very much until this winter, it took a turn and basically dies off.

Not wanting to let it go just yet so I watered it once more and forgot about it. I was throwing away dead plants and was about to throw this away until I saw a little green spout?! Guys, is this a baby catahlea?? Is it coming back? 😵‍💫

It’s hard to tell when they are so young. I’d pull it out and give it a small pot, raise it and see if it is a cathela or not.
