# Does it look like my cactus is rotting? It’s been living and thriving…

_Publicado por Hailey Rebecca el 2024-05-30_

Does it look like my cactus is rotting? It’s been living and thriving in the same environment for 6 years or so. It just started putting out those babies in the last year. Its needles fall off super easily in some spots and the base of the babies don’t look rotted but not healthy either. Thanks in advance!

No its totally fine it’s called corking and the cactus does it naturally as it ages

Any idea why it’s tipping so much and how I can help it?

### Jax comentó el 2024-05-30

All you can really do is cut it and replant or plant it deeper

If I leave it as is will it cause harm?
