# My basil plant has been suffering ever since I moved it inside for…

My basil plant has been suffering ever since I moved it inside for the winter. It’s still alive and growing leaves as you can see, but they drop constantly and the bottom to middle is bare. Is there anything I can do to save this plant? It has a grow light and I water and fertilize it according to planta’s schedule. So sad because I love using basil to cook and she used to be thriving and full.

The mother plant looks too dry.  
You can cut off the green top parts and propagate in water. Replant in smaller pots with fresh soil after the roots grow out at least 2 inches. They need lots of lights, about 12 hours, indoors.

Also, you need to trim it regularly while it’s growing in summer to get a fuller compact form and delay bolting. 🍀🪴

I'd prune it all the way down. The live to be pruned regularly
