Well, it looks like some of your sphagnum moss has started to grow-- is that what you're talking about? I find that when my spag starts growing, it often has that weird slimy surface at first. I ignore it, but I also don't grow super sensitive stuff like flytraps. The carnivorous corner group might have better feedback!

This is was what my first thought was. Looks like the Sphagnum is taking off.

That fly trap is beautiful! Does it always stay spring green or will it eventually get the red flush in the traps after fully waking up after dormancy?
