Any fiddle leaf fig fans? my Home Depot has 4ft tall ones for only $30 and I almost left with one but second guessed my ability to care for it. I’m still considering going back for it though 😢 are they as difficult as I feel like they’re notorious for being?

I don’t think so! I got a baby fiddle leaf fig when I first got into plants and she’s thriving. I definitely learned my lesson with too much light and overwatering but she puts out about 5 new leaves every year, I got it in 2021

DO IT DO IT DO IT! I got one for my wedding shower and was so scared. But the best advice I got for FLF is high humidity and a big clear view of the sky in part sun/shade window. It took off once growing season started and she’s gotten so big I had to make her branch! I loved her so much I got a second one to try a different care schedule with 🤪

I haven’t found them to be that hard. The best advice I got was once you find a good spot leave it alone. During the summer I have mine on a southeast facing covered front porch and the rest of the year in a south facing window. Mine grew to almost 7 feet tall in 4 years before I shopped off 3 feet earlier this week and notched it in a few places to, hopefully, get some new branches. I put the top half in a vase in a sunny window to hopefully get some roots in a few months.

Yes bright indirect light, water regularly, and leave that thing alone. Literally just moving it within the same room and they’ll stop growing for a couple weeks. But overall mine has been forgiving and has gone from like 3 leaves to 30. I think a smaller one may be easier to care for at first, you’ve got this!!
