# Hey. This plant is so frustrating. For one I’m not sure what it is…

Hey. This plant is so frustrating. For one I’m not sure what it is cuz google images varies between spider plant \& dracaena. Two it’s not thriving.  
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He might need repotting—even just for the fresh soil in the same pot and the removal of that bottom leaf—that way you can check the roots, too.

I’m pretty sure that’s a spider plant! I’ve had mine for about 3 years now and it’s been really easy to take care of…I’m no plant expert so I wish I could tell you how to help but I think I could tell you what plant it is!

Yes on the soil. Looks like it could be a little hydrophobic. When you water, it doesn’t really soak in because the soil is kind of cement. Not sure on plant either from the photo. I would say if the leaves are kind of stiff, it is dracaena. If they are soft and flexible, it is spider.

It’s a spider “Bonnie” also know as the curly spider plant, treat like regular spider but give more light
