# I fell in love with African violets and I was even more stoked when I…

_Pubblicato da Jade il 2024-03-06_

I fell in love with African violets and I was even more stoked when I found out they were easier plants to take care of. I bought two in the beginning and planted them together. One died completely and the flowers on the other died pretty quickly and the leaves are starting to get ugly. ANY help or advice is much appreciated ❤️❤️

Do you have it in African violet soil?

Agreed. Also, fertilizer.
African violet pots on Amazon my violets love. Bottom watering they love. Try not to get the leaves wet. Or if you do make sure you dry it. It will get brown spots from water.
I have 8 total. And 6 of 8 are blooming.

A much smaller pot will help! AVs like to be snug in their pots. My baby AVs are in shot glasses size, and my largest most mature is in a 4 inch. 70% perlite, 30% AV soil, and then topped with a thin layer of orchid bark to assist with humidity. Bottom water and feed on a schedule and she’ll thrive!
