I’ve got this new baby a few weeks ago. His leaves have started to brown at the edges :(
Any suggestions to bring him back to life. He’s currently in the bathroom which I don’t think he likes and it’s still in his nursery pot. I may have overwatered him as the soil is quite moist….
Any suggestions please? X

Welcome to the pain of calatheas 🥲 they like high humidity otherwise they’ll crisp up. They can be fussy about water so distilled is best… otherwise they’ll crisp up. Until they settle in a new environment they will you guessed it crisp up. Likely humidity and new environment in this case. You can increase humidity by keeping lots of plants close together, get a humidifier or by placing a clear sandwich bag (not aesthetically pleasing I know) or a cloche on top. Also defo over watered in this case and while they like to remain slightly damp this is root rot territory of damp. Repot in fresh soil and add some perlite to give the roots some air

There’s a girl on TikTok called Botany Box who gave some interesting tips about creating humidity for plants. Humidifier was one way but she also spoke of adding a tray of pebbles with some water below the plant. You can look her up
