Hey, I have two questions in one post.
1: how big do spider plant pups need to get before cutting. And when you cut them, do you put them in water or soil?

2: do I need to repot my Crassula. A little bit of root is coming out the bottom.

Wait until the spider babies have roots to increase the chance of survival. Plant in moist soil with root stimulator powder.

Pull off the pot to see if there are more roots than soil. That’s the reason to repot. Roots coming out the bottom could be chasing drainage water. 🪴🍀

Thank you! But will the spider babies grow roots while still attached to the momma?

Yes, they continue to grow aerial roots for a while as long as the umbilical vine is attached to the mother plant. No need to cut it early.

They will also grow roots in water prop. At least they did for me.
