Almost certainly a Draceana marginata, though I know it’s been reclassified more recently. That name should bring up the right care schedule. I think the common name is dragon tree.

Drake as marginitus! 🩷
I got a thin stem with one puny green leaves at the top. Watered it, but it in filtered light and it is thicker \& lovely. Does anyone know it you cut it to 1 foot if it would leaf out?

Yes, you can behead them and the stump will grow leaves again. You can also plant the top head, so you have both.

That is ridiculous it's so scrawny and still upright. I love it!

All mine are like that too. My wife likes the simple look so she keeps stripping the leaves whenever they grow.

Dracaena marginata. As was previously said you can cut it about 6 or 8 inches from the soil and the bottom part will grow. You can also plant the top. You can also chop the middle section up into five or six inch segments and plant those as well. Just make sure you know which way is up. When I trimmed mine I made sure the top of the section was flat and the bottom was angled.
