# how should i go about using the generated water schedule that planta…

how should i go about using the generated water schedule that planta gave me? i want to trust it because i input all the information as accurately as i could but some of my plants look like they want water now, not in a week or so. i’ll attach an example below. also, if i do water early, how do i snooze it or update the schedule?

ps these were sold as tropical plant varieties which also makes me want to water them with the soil this dry.

You can complete the task early by going to the plants profile, selecting the upcoming task you want to complete, and then click complete early.

As for trusting the schedule, you should always use it as a guideline only. If something is dry and needs water before the task, complete it early. If something is still moist then snooze the task that day.  
The app can account for certain factors, but every person’s growing environment has so many other variables that it will never be totally perfect.

agree with GreenLeaf. use the watering schedule to just help you remember what to water when but always check the soil before watering any plant. I use a skewer/chopstick, like a cake test.
