# Does anyone have a clue what’s growing out of my broadleaf palm…

Does anyone have a clue what’s growing out of my broadleaf palm tree??? I purchased this plant online and the seller didn’t have it in any dirt. I put my own dirt in it and now this is growing right next to it? Also yes I’m very aware my palm tree is unfortunately dying since the moment I got it :( but I’m so confused what this healthy thing is growing next to it.

Wow, I am curious too! I think it's a bit early to tell what it is but now it looks like a bean plant of some sort. (Image is found online)

It’s so odd. I made the dirt mixture myself so I know for a fact nothing was in the pot or dirt beforehand! I was hoping it would be a new baby palm tree to replace my dying one 😭😂

Random thought - if you kept it outside, could a squirrel come by and hid one of its cherished seeds in it? 😂

Do you have trees near by? Could be a seedling from a maple tree.

No we live in a new development so there’s no trees anywhere! And it’s on my patio under a roof so I don’t know how something could’ve fallen in it.

Actually, I would leave it right where it is if you’re interested in finding out what it is. That’s its best chance.😊💚🪴
