# Any tips on keeping baby blue eucalyptus alive? Accidentally killed…

_Publié par nick le 2025-03-07_

Any tips on keeping baby blue eucalyptus alive? Accidentally killed my first one and i figured I'd try again as i have a 3 time rule. Do they keep well under grow lights? Proper lighting or lumen requirement? Should I follow plantas watering advice or shift it to one that any of u have down? Thank you in advance.

I join only to also say I'm a eucalyptus killer 😆 🤣 and planned to try again this spring with a larger plants. I had bought 3 variety seedling size about 6-10" tall and all croaked. They were in two different south facing windows with indirect and direct light. I think the watering schedule was not correct as they kept being crispy. But I didn't correct quick enough and they all ended up dying. I did a bunch more research and found air pots were ideal for them. So i bought some net pots and cache pots they fit in. The lighting should have been fine as they like bright lights. But the watering needed to be closer together for the younger plants.

Same thing happened to me and i added a grow light which seemed to help a little, but it gave out a few months after due to the water. Just constantly crispy. I keep watching videos on them because I rly want to have bundles eventually and im so dead set on making it work. My first one was also 3 little stalks abt 5 inches maybe.. but i found one a bit more mature at.. jewel osco?¿ of all places which is wild. Hopefully a little easier to maintain being a bit bigger.. I'll have to research on those pots as well.

Yesss i was buying fresh cuts from TJs to hang in the shower, and was finally like, i could grow this! I think getting a larger size one will definitely be helpful. It didn't seem to take much to push the little seedlings
