This took me 1.5 hours 😭 original pot it was in for scale in the bottom photo. A rescue I got already root bound, it also had several rotting and broken stems. I’m hoping it does better now in its new home 💖  
(Also because at this point I feel like I’m never repotting it ever again that was so much work omg)

The roots look healthy so fingers crossed it will be ok

I’m crossing my fingers too! I was surprised how healthy everything was tbh.

wow!! looks great — did it have rhizomes in there somewhere? sometimes they get so big on Zz they’ll bust the pot. good news is that they rarely need a repot

Only two rhizomes, one for each separate “group”. I thought there would be more than that! It was over an hour of detangling before I even saw the bottom of a rhizome. I wonder if there just wasn’t room for more to grow because of all the roots

And yeah I hope this plant is happy in its new home because I never want to repot it ever again 😮‍💨😭
