# Does anyone know what could be causing this damage on leaves? I…

Does anyone know what could be causing this damage on leaves? I noticed little black pests flying around and in the soil, none on the actual leaves, I can’t tell if it’s thrips or fungal gnats. But the soil isn’t moist, and I have it isolated from my other plants.

I think that it it’s fungal knots so as soon as possible pls repot and wash the roots and make sure to get rid of that soil they should go away and if you see any flying around KILL THEM you can also spray your plant with neem oil to help

Thank you! Ok I will try this, I did a 3% hydrogen and water solution and I don’t see anymore of the pests, do you recommend to still change the soil?
