# I see some new growth on my ZZ plant and I’m elated. I’m just worried…

I see some new growth on my ZZ plant and I’m elated. I’m just worried if there is a mealy bugs infestation on the new growth. (Last two photos). Can someone tell me if I have to worry about it 🥺

I don't think you have to worry there is that white stuff on my ZZ too

Wow good job!! Mine won’t grow at all lol that new growth looks so cool!!

Haha thanks. I just started giving it the least amount of attention that’s when it started thriving like this lol.

If they’re kinda hard then it’s the oxalates that the plant puts out to keep animals from eating them.
