Does anyone have experience with aquatic plants? My daughter recently added some to her axolotl aquarium and I’d love any tips or tricks to keep them happy.

Edited comment!
Omg so cutteee! | LOVE Axolotls!!! | want one so bad but my kuhli loaches would not appreciate that lol

With aquatic plants, it's good to keep in mind that your water parameters have a lot to do with plant health.

This looks like a Java Fern! They don't do well planted in the substrate. They like being tired or glued to decor like rocks, driftwood, or hides!

Because it's an Axo, I wouldn't use fertilizer (I know I previously said to but amphibians are different from fish and their health is also different) and if a fertilizer has any iodine, it can be toxic to axo’s and even morph them into land amphibians (I found this out recently and blew my mind)

Thank you so much I’ll let her know about mounting the fern! She keeps the parameters well checked lol love her tenacity 😊
