# Ugh I’m stressing! I had a fungus gnat issue and went overboard with…

Ugh I’m stressing! I had a fungus gnat issue and went overboard with the nematodes and then mosquito bits. I way overwatered my plants and now my fiddle leaf looks funny and my money tree is sad. Any advice on what to do? I repotted the money tree after letting it dry out but now they both are soaking wet. I’m scared for my bird of paradise. What do you do when you know you’ve overwatered?

i’d let the plant dry out more in between watering, and if the plant doesn’t seem to recovering well i’d repot and check for root rot

I had been doing that and they were thriving. The fungus gnats took us on a ride when I brought a new plant in

Don’t strictly follow a watering schedule. Water only when the soil is dry. Verify all the soil is dry by using a wooden skewer or similar.
