I only water when the planta app says too I have noticed the soil stays wet along time

The app is a great guide but can’t take into account all the conditions of your house. I let the top 2 inches of soil dry before watering my syngoniums. You should always check the soil before watering. Either just stick your finger in 2” or I use chopsticks. If the chopstick comes out with soil stuck to it, it’s still wet. If no soil clings it’s dry.
If you snooze the watering until you actually water, the app will adjust when it tells you to water the next time.
Frequency of watering can also change seasonally bc the conditions in your house change
