# This is my sister‘s birds nest fern, and she sent me some photos and…

This is my sister‘s birds nest fern, and she sent me some photos and said “HELP!” She also said this one leaf was normal when it popped out, and she thinks something is eating it. I told her to get a magnifying glass and flashlight, but she’s not seeing anything, at this point. She’s not a plant person, and really wants her birds nest fern to get better. I don’t have any magic, but maybe some of you out there can tell her what is wrong with her plant? TIA!

PS. She says the hole in the leaf is getting larger.

not really sure, i’d spray it with neem oil

my plant did almost the same thing but little spots in the middle i took it out of the pot and found a caterpillar

😖… a caterpillar! Who would’ve thunk?! TXS for your post; I’ll definitely tell my sister about the neem, so she can get rid of whatever it is!

If she continues to see deformed leaves. And no pests ot could be a deficiency, and needs some fertilization.
