# I’m not sure what happen to my snake plant, I noticed this recently?…

I’m not sure what happen to my snake plant, I noticed this recently? She was sitting in my room which gets subpar lighting, I recently moved her entirely to the balcony where there is more sun and I’ve only watered her once last month like the 30th thru the sink prior to the yellow left :( should I also remove the leaf?

My mom always has her snake plant in like shade. Sun hits but not direct. Maybe too much sun.

Her leaf was already yellow and dying before moving her to the balcony, I was thinking she was getting poor lightly bc my room is off and on with good sunlight :/ but I do currently have her in shaded sun and not directly in the sun

If the leaf was already dying, then it might have been from previous setting. Give it a bit more time outside before you give up. Just keep an eye on it. If you see sun burn marks on it, give it more shade. It can tolerate full sun, but needs to be slowly acclimated. As far as watering, water when soil is completely dry, but do saturate it with water. Fertilize about once a month, or every other watering.
