# I have accepted defeat in growing my monstera in our bedroom after…

I have accepted defeat in growing my monstera in our bedroom after its dropped its second leaf, now its going right next to my MIL’s that I setup so much better than the one I got myself 😂, gonna keep her and see what happens but Im quite disappointed. (Moss pole is mine, one without is my MIL) any suggestions for big leaf plants that are good in super low lighting to try out instead of this in our room?

Not sure what ya meant, i got this one on amazon and im not sure what the brand was I just knew it was the type i wanted to use 😅 ive got like 4 more poles to be assembled but no good plants for them

Monstera Peru will grow in low light and its leaf can get large. A couple of philodendrons might be good and have a bigger leaf - red emerald and fantasy.

I went and picked up a red emerald!!! Gonna let it grow a bit more before i attach it to a pole

You can also get a grow light to help them out. They work so well!

Yes I have a sansi grow light in my bedroom. It has two bulbs and I leave it on during the day. My plants are doing so much better since adding it. I also love big leaf plants the best and my monsteras are growing so quickly with it.

I have a grow light i just dont think its strong enough! The one in the living room (MIL’s) has my super strong grow light on it so until i can figure out better lighting for the bedroom ive pickup a philo red emerald
