You would be surprised how much cacti and succulents sell for on the black market. Smuggling is huge worldwide. Top prices are high in many countries and worth risking it for many. Asian countries, especially Japan, pay high prices for cacti that are older and in good condition. We all know hard it is to keep a plant alive for it to grow big. Smugglers just go into the deserts and pluck them out.

No way! That sounds insane. Can you imagine huge thugs with guns packing boxes in a warehouse like it’s a shady drug operation 😂 police busts through the doors guns blazing shouting “ Police! Drop the cactus 🌵! “ 😂😂😂
