Should I separate the baby from the plant? I got this plant about 1.5 months ago and it hasn't changed at all. Is that normal?

I'm not a snake plant person really, I inherited mine, but I heard that once the tippy tips of the leaves break off they won't grow any taller for some reason. Unsure if or how much that's true though. I just noticed your baby is the only one with an intact tip. It could also be outgrowing that pot with the baby rooted too. On the other hand a month and a half isn't long for snake plants. They're definitely slow growers so you could wait a bit before you worry too much and stress it out potentially unnecessarily. Sorry that's a lot of my rambles, I hope it helps

I think it’s a myth that they don’t grow after cutting the tips, but I haven’t looked too far into it. I just can’t imagine that it would all of a sudden stop growing.🤷‍♀️

I repotted it when I got it so I think that the roots are fine. Is there a benefit to separating them aside from the roots?

There’s no need to separate them unless you’re anxious for more snake plants. Give it indirect bright light, water when completely dry but otherwise leave her alone. Snake plants can stand to be rootbound for a little bit.

I've heard they like to be crowded. I separated one of mine only because it was cracking the plastic pot. Saw some of my local university that were completely tearing through the pot and still thriving.
