have any of you lovely plant parents ever owned a aglaonema pictum tricolor? i’ve been eyeing this plant up on etsy but planta is saying it requires very high humidity and i don’t want to order something i’ll kill right away 😞 i live in Pennsylvania so it’s very cold right now

😍 Beautiful! I love aglaonemas and as long as it’s above 50% humidity it’s fine. Just make sure you water it with distilled or rain or Zero filtered and the humidity won’t matter too much. And don’t let the sun shine on the leaves it’s happier in the middle of the room. Sorry if you wanted to be talked out of it but I find this plant is very easy and so pretty 🤩

Do you have this variant specifically? I’m curious about how much light it should get if brighter vs lower light will bring out the markings.

I just got a baby one too!! I’m in Indiana, so similar climate. I keep mine in a converted IKEA cabinet with grow lights and it just sprouted its first new leaf!!

Heed the advice above, yeah, but I wouldn’t worry too much about humidity as long as you don’t let it scorch in direct sun or get to near an air vent.

I got a starter about a month ago. It’s been in a prop box acclimating after a recent repot. My first Agla, so we’ll see how this goes 😂
