# When planta tells you to fertilizer your plants and it’s too close to…

When planta tells you to fertilizer your plants and it’s too close to other watering times I’m afraid of overwatering my plants? Why does it do it separately from just regular watering? Need some insight

Yea you have to really watch that so you don’t over water. I so understand what you’re saying

When I fertilize, I use a liquid and dilute it so that I can fertilize every time I water.

I thought it coincided fertilizer times with watering times? Either way, I also switched to a fertilizer that I use with every watering instead and turned off the fertilizer reminders on everything except for my succulents

I have been using ‘Plant Food’ from @happyhappyhouseplant on Instagram (or happyhappyhouseplant.com). I’ve only been using it a couple of weeks now though. I also add ‘Grow’ concentrate from We The Wild (@wethewildusa on Instagram and also sold at Target) each watering.

I can relate but I always check the soil first and if it’s too soon to water, I snooze the action and add the fertilizer when it is safe to do so without overwatering.

I have this same issue, I have it set to have my fertilizer be liquid but it still seems to trigger to close to watering days.

When presented with Fertilize and Water I always give Fertilize precedent, even if its fertilize is al least 7 days from now. Because once I choose Fertilize, to signify that I’ve provided it, then water requirement readjusts.

And like most here, especially during the grown season like now, if one plant is getting fertilizer then everyone gets a little diluted fertilizer. I’m not a waiter taking orders. My a cafeteria lunch lady and you’ll have what everyone else is having.
