# I have a grow light on most of my plants. I’m at a loss here. I want…

I have a grow light on most of my plants. I’m at a loss here. I want to set them on a timer and the instructions are kind of confusing to me. Can anyone explain in simple language how to program? And also what is recommended for length of time?

Do you have the old school mechanical timers or the timers that are part of the light itself (built into the cord)? The mechanical timers are rather confusing.

They’re part of the light itself

Usually you have three choices only though. So when it’s the time of day you want your grow light to come on, turn it on and then select the number of hours you want it to stay on. It will come on every day at the same time.

Do the lights have hour settings and or color indicators? What brand are they? Can you post a picture?
