# Anyone good with Montseras? I rescued this from a tiny little half…

_Posted by MummaDeb on 2025-12-05_

Anyone good with Montseras? I rescued this from a tiny little half dead plant with just a couple of leaves. I have it tied to that moss pole but I think it needs to be staked better. Any suggestions on what kind of stake? Also, am I supposed to cut those long roots off?

Those long roots are aerial roots! If this plant were in the “wild” they would grow towards water sources, try putting one in some water!! I’m not sure about staking as I’ve never staked mine but best of luck and happy gardening!

Honestlyy id say the pole you got just now works until its a bit more grown٫ but what the other person said is correct! dont cut the aeeriel rots x. also love the little christmas bobble :) ( for mine ive just used big wooden sticks and zipties seemed to work quite well )
