i’m helping a new plant shop open up in my town! the owner is a flower farmer so she doesn’t know much about house plants and asked me to help make a list. i know what i like, but im curious what other people are looking for in their local plant shops? what’s some of your favorite plants that you’ve kept?

if you wouldn’t made sharing how much you paid for the plant that would be helpful too! she asked me to help with prices but i strictly shop clearance and revive the plant.

Varieties of easy to care for variegated plants are nice.  
Syngonium albo  
variegated hederaceum  
njoy pothos

I don’t recall how much i paid for my njoy and albo syngonium but 10 for njoy and 15 for albo syngonium

definitely adding a bunch of syngonium, pothos, and philos varieties. lots of colorful options with those! thanks for the feedback 😊

Monsteras I def look for, as well as a variety of smaller succulents. Arrowhead vines and scindapsus as well

exotica and sliver are very pretty, but basically any is great. I’m very bad with prices so take this with a huge amount of salt but I would say around $15

yes absolutely! i’ve been giving a decent range for 4 inch pots. i’ve just been basing prices on the average online but wanted to talk to real plant people instead of google ❤️ i appreciate it!

The classic argyraeus can go anywhere from $15-35 for an 8” hanging basket where I live. Treubii is gonna be more like $30 for a 6”. And then exotica is probably more consistently like $35-40 for an 8” basket. Rarer varieties usually come a little smaller (4-6”) and would be more like $20-40 depending on level of silver

personally:

marble queen pothos (really any kind of pothos) 9$  
ferns 5$ (they were small)  
dieffenbachias 12$  
snake plants 13$

for the life of me i can’t take care of a lot of succulents i water them too much

i’m also horrible with succulents but i know they’re popular so i have to read up on them lol thank you so much for the feedback!

personally, i love my tai cons and pothos. cool looking or strange cacti would be fun to recommend as well!

Nuclear congos, prayer plants (to many to list) Thai consolation, aglaonemas (personally like the colored foliage.
