Advice! Elephant ear is gaining more roots, but also losing some due to rot. (I’ve pulled/cut off as much rot as I could access;plant seems to be doing fine regardless)

A). I won’t be able to get a bigger pot until Thursday. In the meantime should I just leave the roots or cut them down?
B). How do I prevent root rot? (In Leca)
C). This is the second time I’ve noticed them. Anytime I take my pot out of the reservoir there are 100s of tiny white things moving . Springtails? Can they become harmful? Every time I see them I change water and wash the pot. How do I stop them? They make my skin crawl lol

I would personally leave the roots, a few days shouldn't hurt. Root rot occurs when a plants has been soggy/wet for a while. Water less frequently and let the soil dry between waterings. I've never had an elephant ear but this is pretty universal for plants as far as I'm aware

See idk lol. This plant has been in Leca for only a month and has grown mannnny new roots at the bottom (I gat you’re seeing) and on the top part as well which is strange. The pot (in the pic) sit inside another pot that has some water in it as a reservoir. In general it’s hard for me to get the pot in and out. So I think I may get a bigger pot so that the roots have more room to grow
