# Does anyone know anything about these grow lights?? My windowsills…

_Posted by SuccaForPlants 🪴 on 2026-06-02_

Does anyone know anything about these grow lights?? My windowsills are getting too full and unfortunately they aren’t really getting too much direct light in my windowsills anyway. Ideally I’d like to move some to shelves (away from the window) and be able to put my larger plants on the floor. Looking for something budget friendly :)

My advice is invest in good quality lights. The cheap ones stop working after a year or so. Barrina \& Sansi are reliable \& reasonably priced.

I agree with the above. I do have many of those that you pictured and they are ok for the plants that are technically suppose to be shade plants or half shade plants. But any plants that are suppose to have direct sun or all day sun, these won’t suffice and you will need the better brand lights for those types of plants.

I’ve had the ones in the second picture for a couple years now and they still work. I used them on my windowsill and it provided enough light for my aroids, my alocasias were full and plentiful under these! Though one out of my four lights requires some outlet wiggling for some reason to get the light at max brightness. Otherwise works well

Pretty sure I have 2 of those GooingTop (2 head, clip lights)! They seem to help the plants in my east facing window stay happy!

I have barina and sansi but recently got the gathera sun patch and the Ample ORI grow light and both are absolutely amazing!!!! The cheap ones I got from amazon did absolutely mother but the good quality ones are phenomenal!

+1 for Sansi, the clip lights in particular are very well made and have lasted more than a year so far. I have an AeroGarden that’s lasted for several years, so I can recommend them too.

I’ve had the great value grow lights in the third picture for years and my plants love them! They’ve never stopped working and are still going strong and bright, definitely a plus that they’re cheap too. I definitely recommend them.
