question about liquid fertilizers? what are some of yalls recommendations for liquid fertilizers? I am currently using miracle-gro because it’s cheap lol, but i dont really see a difference in my plants with it. and side note, i am also not that good at keeping up for when i should fertilize my plants, and how to? so if i could get some tips on how to do better, it would be very much appreciated 🙏

I highly recommended Jack’s 20/20/20. Great all purpose mix, easily dissolvable and easier on your wallet and the environment than Miracle Gro!

I use Happy Happy Houseplant. One bottle has lasted over a year and counting so far for me

I use Fox Farm Grow Big. I’m convinced this is why my plants do much better than when I used slow release pellets. Lasts a long time because you’re just using 2-3 teaspoons per gallon of water

i use joyful dirt, a powder fertilizer that can be diluted in water and applied as a liquid or even sprinkled directly on the soil. i bought one little jar of it a few years ago and even with a sizable collection it’s still about halfway full. you only need a pinch or so per plant, maybe as much as 1/2 tsp for a 2gal pot. an organic fertilizer might be a better choice for you too since they are naturally slow release unlike chemical fertilizers like miracle gro. if you have monstera or pothos, or another fast growing species that requires lots of nutrients, i recommend fertilizing weakly with every watering or every other watering. i dilute it to 1/4 strength in the growing season and even more in winter.

I use Neptune’s Harvest organic liquid fish fertilizers. I rotate between the fish fertilizer and the fish/seaweed fertilizer. I use it on all my plants (except orchids). They love it. The downside is it’s a bit stinky for the next 24 hrs or so

i don’t know much about orchids, so why don’t you use it on orchids? also thank you for the advice, will definitely be looking into neptunes harvest

Orchids need/want higher levels of N-P-K, I think. Neptune’s Harvest is fairly low but balanced and no chemicals.
