# I went to Home Depot for potting soil and ended up coming home with…

I went to Home Depot for potting soil and ended up coming home with this as well lol. Planta says this is a Coffee plant and is difficult to keep. We shall see. I will try my best to keep it healthy. Any one else have this plant? Suggestions?

Omg I love coffee plants!! Ive only had mine for like a month and I havent killed it yet which Im honestly surprised about lol. If its winter where you are I would definitely recommend keeping it under a grow light. I started mine off by a window but its doing a lot better now with brighter light. She definitely has a higher watering need than many of my other plants! Good luck! She looks gorgeous!!

Thanks for the suggestions!! Good to know about the water. I tend to underwater. It is definitely winter in Western NY lol. Hardly any sun. I have several grow lights. They are put to good use.

Stalking this post for tips! 👀 I just got a wee baby coffee plant and it’s so cute, I don’t want to kill him! He’s currently in my terrarium cabinet under a grow lamp. I wasn’t sure about humidity and moisture though so I emptied the self-watering part of the planter in case he needs to semi dry out…

It’s Arabica. I have two that have done well. They are thirsty.

Watch for “rust” on the leaves.
