Does anyone put a grow light on your snake plant? Wondering if it’ll like it. The rest of my plants love grow lights but didn’t know if it will burn a snake plant.

I have a grow light on my snake plant during dark dreary days, and it gets direct light in the mornings, hasn’t burned and seems to enjoy it, the new leaf it pushed out late last year has outgrown the original leaves

I both have mine close to a window and it gets indirect light from my grow lights. She’s a very happy lady and I’ve seen two new leaves since moving it. My ZZ also loves it!

This snake plant is currently enjoying my cubicle grow lights.

Snake plants naturally grow in a high light environment, but because they can tolerate/survive in less light, are often sold as low light plants.

It depends on the intensity of the light and the proximity to the plants. Most of the common inexpensive grow lights won’t harm a snake plant. My cheaper (\<$50) grow light fixtures are placed within a foot of my plants to have any noticeable effect.

As long as it’s not too close, my snake seems to like it. The leaves feel sturdy, that tells me the root system is getting deep \& strong. It had very few roots when I replanted from the store.

I have some cheapo grow lights right on top of my lil snake plant and she’s so so happy!

But I don’t recommend this with good quality lights lolll

Yep - I had a dark corner in my old place next to my bed with my snake plant and a lamp above it with a Philips Hue colour changing light. During the day the light was white, evening it went warm. Had this set up for years and she more than doubled in size and out grew my side lamp hanging over her 😂 so yes, they like them a lot, and doesn’t have to be a fancy grow light per se. Just any light over it will work.
