# When Planta says toxic, does it mean when you touch it, goes into…

When Planta says toxic, does it mean when you touch it, goes into your blood, eat it, etc.? Because without knowing a few names of plants, I touched them and I didn't feel any irritation, or medical difference in me, even though Planta said it was toxic to humans and animals. So just need a quick clarification there.

Eating it. you can always tap where it says toxic and it will break it down by what it means by toxic

But i have seen other plants such as poison ivy being toxic when you touch it, weird.

Yeah I haven’t ran into a plant yet but that’s why I say tap on the toxic so it clarifies it I know moist are just toxic if your pets were to eat it but I’m sure there’s some you can’t touch by I haven’t came across any yet lol

But what if it says humans and animals? Would it still mean for only humans and animals to eat it or are there lots of different ways to 'toxic'?

I panicked when it said my flamingo Lilly was toxic to humans and pets 😂 but clicked on it but saw videos of people touching it like nothing so I assumed it meant eating it

Yeah I’m pretty sure it means consuming it but I am no expert honestly

Don’t eat your whole plant and you’ll be fine.

The sap/juices of some plants can cause skin irritation for some people, but the likelihood of touching dry leaves causing irritation is probably pretty low. Plants with toxic juices can cause blindness if you accidentally rub it into your eyes though. But yeah, mostly don’t eat your plants.
