It’s natural for plants to lost a leaf or two within the year, including jades, and especially lower leaves, but since you’ve noticed some further up, good on you for double checking that everything’s alright. I can help you troubleshoot to narrow down the possible causes.

omg please, i’m scared of losing it

Completely understand. I’ve got a 30 year old jade that’s from my grandmother’s 60+ year old jade, and I’d cry if anything happened to him. My two biggest concerns would be that you’re either overwatering or that the soil isn’t well draining enough. For overwatering, how many days do you wait until watering your jade? Currently this season, Planta should be recommending that you water it every 14 days. I’ve noticed a recent glitch where the number for one’s plants doesn’t always match what it should say and still says through the ID search, so see how long it recommends to wait before watering, and if it’s before 14 days/every second week, change it to every second week.

As for soil, what kind of soil is it in (is it succulent soil specifically, what brand, what’s in the soil, etc.) and has it ever been repotted? They enjoy getting rootbound and being snug in their pots, but it’s important that their roots are at least shallowly covered by soil when potted. If it’s been a year or more, it’s a good idea to check the roots for rot, or see if it’s time for a repot. I can let you know if it’s time for that if you’re unsure if you attach a photo of the roots once you check.

The rest are my lesser concerns, but still important to rule out.
1\. Pests: check the undersides of the leaves and especially the stems. They’re typically less likely to attract a pest, but mealybugs and scale can try their hand at attacking it. Fungus gnats are also possible if you’re overwatering.
2\. The pot it’s in: if it’s in a ceramic pot, even if you’re waiting for the soil to dry out, the pot is built for plants that like to hold a little extra moisture, so it could be holding too much for your jade. Terra cotta pots with at least one large drainage hole, or a plastic pot with multiple drainage holes, is best suited for jades so they properly dry out between waterings.
3\. Is it placed anywhere cool or more humid than it can handle? They don’t like drafts and they don’t like humidity. If it’s near a humidifier, near a plant you mist, or near a drafty window or air vent, it might be telling you it’d like somewhere warm and dry. My windows can be a bit drafty in the winter, so I move it back so it’s within 1 foot of the window, but not so close that it’s gonna get cold. Hope this helps!

to be honest it’s in a glass greenhouse so it gets strong sun and heat so i just water it when i can slightly bend the leaves, or if i put a stick in and it comes out bone dry.
