# What is wrong with my hydrangea?? I just got this on Wednesday…

What is wrong with my hydrangea??  
I just got this on Wednesday afternoon as a gift. Day 1 picture in right. Currently picture on left. 😬🙄☹️😲  
It’s already looking terrible. I didn’t water it when I got it, as the soil was already wet.  
I put it on my kitchen counter where it gets bright indirect sunlight each day.  
The flowers were starting to curl a little bit the day I got it, but this is ridiculous.  
I didn’t think it was possible to kill a plant this fast.  
Help!

it looks like it may need some more water, from my knowledge hydrangeas can be real picky about that. when you checked the soil, was it wet all the way through or just on top? personally, i would also probably take it out of the outer wrapper and all the extra stuff stores put on them so you can get a look at the soil and pot it’s in

We got 5 hydrangeas last year and didn’t realize how much watering they actually like - the top 2 layers of soil should pretty much be moist all the time! We lost one due to under watering but the other 4 thrived!

They like a slower, longer watering vs several quick waterings. Hope this helps!

Maybe remove the plastic so it can breathe?
