# At The Root Project, we love seeing plants thrive, and this basil…

_Opslået af Roots project den 2025-03-08_

At The Root Project, we love seeing plants thrive, and this basil plant is a perfect example of resilience and growth! What started as a simple cut stem of basil—something many might toss away—has now grown into a full, thriving bush.

With just a little patience, water, and care, this single cutting developed strong roots, was transplanted into soil, and flourished into a lush plant ready to be harvested for fresh, homegrown flavor.

This journey reminds us of the power of nurturing, whether it’s plants, communities, or new ideas. If you’ve never tried propagating herbs before, basil is a great place to start! Have you had success growing plants from cuttings? Share your stories below!

Propagation is good for the soul! It’s so rewarding to start a new life. I really struggle with throwing out any viable cuttings. I therefore have lots of little starts I like to give away.
