hello friends! i have a few corms that are starting to sprout roots and new growth!! i’m new to alocasia care let alone taking care of corms but i’ve had them in small plastic containers with a lid on the top, can someone tell me how long until i need to wait until i put them into soil?

Not tried splitting from mother plant, I see why they say grow on side as roots seem to come out same end as growth, have you had them on a heat mat and longer hours of light

i actually honestly haven’t done anything special to them besides placing them near my window. i’ve only changed out the water one but they see the sunlight from that window pretty much all throughout the day. i was shocked to see i even had any progress from them lol! i don’t add any extra humidity either but they’re surrounded by my other plants and i’ve heard that somehow aids surrounding plants? don’t know if that holds up here though

Obviously working what your doing, I’ve seen the odd few videos on YouTube, some grow them in cabinets with extra humidity, others get higher humidity by placing a plastic cup upside down on top of another plastic cup, then as it progresses add extra holes in top. Will try one day as normally plenty of corms to ever harvest or purchase different versions online
