# My peace lily has stopped blooming and giant yellow spots have…

My peace lily has stopped blooming and giant yellow spots have started appearing on the tips of the leaves as well as giant dead spots. How can I help it? All input is welcome since I’m not a very experienced plant parent.

This doesn’t look like a peace lily. Can you take a better picture

To me from the picture that looks like a pothos or a monstera

Agreed. This looks more like a Flamingo Lily to me.

Peace Lily isn’t actually a lily, and is more closely related to aroids like the monstera.

So a flamingo lily would be more of a “true lily” and would have different care needs compared to a peace lily.

Peace lilies are known to be dramatic, check the roots for rot, bottom water it, move it to a more indirect light spot. There may be pests as well, I learned this from my momma and it works well, you can mix some neem oil, water, and peppermint Castile soap in a spray bottle and pests hate it, and it cleans the leaves!!!
