Do I still need to place my plants near a humidifier if they are potted in water?

I don’t know the definitive answer on this, but when I had a Monstera adansonii (a plant that needs a little humidity) growing semi-hydro in leca, it seemed content. I think the answer might also depend on how big the plants are. If they are small, closer to the water line, they are probably content, but larger plants may not get any added humidity several inches up. Standing water and pebble trays don’t raise the humidity around a plant more than a few percentage points.

im not sure, but i would guess probably. i don’t think having it in water would give it enough humidity for its leaves if they’re large
