Hungryroot food delivery service sends their boxes with these to keep food cold. Has anyone used this as plant food, or know anything about it (is it true? is it safe?)?

I’ve gotten something similar with food deliveries. My wife checked it out and said it was pretty much worthless so I was taking no chances. I always throw it out. The odd thing is that the label specifically says not to put down the sink but to discard the entire bag and contents into the trash. Didn’t make sense to me cause why can’t it go down the sink if it’s safe for plants. Your brand may be different though.
